At Harlow Specialty Tires & Wheels, we have been dealing with racing tires and wheels since 1965. We're a name you can trust.
We carry a full line of passenger, truck, and race products, such as Goodyear, Hoosier Drag Tires, Mickey Thompson Drag Tires, Phoenix (Firestone), BF Goodrich, Centerline, Cragar, Moroso, and all the accessories necessary to win that big race. All tires have matched roll-out or we don't sell them. We ship tire and wheel combinations already mounted and balanced, all you do is bolt them on.
The specification sheets are provided by us to help you determine what tire and/or wheel will best fit your needs. All tire specs are determined on the widest wheel listed, for example, a Goodyear 29.0X12.0-15 D-1897 is approved for a 10-12" wide wheel. The cross section we list measures 14.1" on a 12" wide wheel. Therefore, it would measure .4" less on an 11" wide wheel or 13.7" and .8" less on a 10" wide wheel or 13.3". This is critical to know when you trying to tuck a tire in a limited space without banging and cutting your vehicle. All specifications are +/-2% at 5-10 psi air pressure depending on application.
Goodyear tires are directional until broken in, usually 5-8 passes. Serial numbers on rear tires must be mounted facing the right side of the car, one in and one out. After rear tires are broken in, they should be rotated side to side as frequently as possible. Front tire serial numbers should face the left side of the car, also one in and one out. Front tires should not be rotated.
Phoenix tires are directional according to the arrows on sidewall, until broken in, usually 15 passes.
Hoosier and Mickey Thompson tires are not directional.
BF Goodrich Drag Radials require a final curing process to be done when the tires first hit the pavement.
All tires should not be stored in direct sunlight, around welding areas, in overhead garage areas where the temperatures may reach 100 degrees F and higher, or around high voltage electric motors. They also should not be allowed to get wet and freeze.
